Job Purpose: The Sales Marketing Coordinator Intern will support marketing coordination efforts with a strong emphasis on multi‑touchpoint email marketing campaigns designed to support sales, generate leads, and drive engagement around key initiatives—particularly conferences and events.
This role is soft‑skill driven , ideal for a highly organized, creative, and proactive individual who thrives in a fast‑paced, people‑focused environment. The intern will work closely with sales, business development, and marketing stakeholders to help plan, execute, and measure email journeys across different customer segments and stages of the buyer journey.
This internship offers hands‑on experience in real‑world marketing execution, visibility across revenue‑generating teams, and is well suited for candidates interested in pursuing marketing or communications roles full‑time after graduation.
Responsibilities:
Assist in planning and executing multi‑channel, multi‑touch email campaigns , with a strong focus on conference and event marketing
Help define and build email audiences and segmentation lists based on customer type, journey stage, and campaign goals
Draft, edit, and build multiple versions of email messages tailored to different customer journeys
Support the creation of email templates and campaign workflows within email marketing platforms
Schedule and coordinate email sends in alignment with campaign timelines
Pull and organize reports related to audience segments, open rates, conversions, and campaign effectiveness
Track tasks, milestones, and deliverables independently using project management tools
Provide proactive status updates and communicate progress with cross‑functional partners
Collaborate closely with sales, business development, and account management teams to align messaging with field needs
Support content reviews and approvals by working with Enterprise Communications and Legal partners
Assist with additional marketing coordination tasks as needed (email, social, or event‑related messaging)
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Comfortable asking questions and professionally flagging errors or inconsistencies
Tools & Platforms
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and Canva
Experience with monday.com or similar project management tools (plus)
Preferred exposure to email marketing platforms such as: Salesforce, Oracle, HubSpot, Eloqua, Constant Contact, or Mailchimp
Minimum Qualifications:
Candidates should demonstrate a clear interest in communications, marketing strategy, and storytelling through digital channels .
Preferred Qualifications:
Preferred majors include Marketing, Mass Communication, Journalism, Business / BSBA
Physical Requirements:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to: stand, sit, talk, hear, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer, telephone, and a variety of office equipment.
Occasionally may need to reach, stoop, or kneel.
