
Account Executive State and Local Government

Job Description
Remote opportunity - Sacramento, CA, for local travel to customer accounts assigned within the territory, as needed. Must have a valid driver’s license.
Compensation: Base salary + commissions, monthly car allowance, mileage reimbursement, and a one‑time remote stipend.
Responsibilities
Manage and grow a portfolio of State and Local Government accounts
Prospect, qualify, and close new opportunities within assigned SLED territories
Build relationships with key stakeholders, decision‑makers, and influencers
Conduct discovery conversations to understand agency goals, challenges, and funding timelines
Present tailored solutions that align with government requirements and budgets
Navigate public sector procurement processes, including RFPs and contracts (as applicable)
Maintain accurate pipeline and forecasting using CRM tools
Partner with internal teams to ensure a seamless customer experience
Qualifications
1–5 years of sales experience, ideally in B2B, technology, or solutions‑based sales
Interest in or experience working with State and Local Government entities
Strong customer service and relationship‑building skills
Excellent communication, negotiation, and persuasion abilities
Exposure to CRM systems such as Salesforce
Solid computer skills, including email and Microsoft Word
Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across teams
