Account Manager I - West Distribution Area
Salary Range
$65,000 - $80,000
Work Designation
If you live within 50 miles of the Aflac offices located in the West Distribution Area, this role will be hybrid. You will be expected to work in the office for at least 60% of the work week and from home for the remaining portion.
If you live more than 50 miles from the Aflac offices located in the West Distribution Area, this role will be remote. You will be expected to work from your home, and may be requested to come to the office as needed, with advance notice.

Project/timeline management experience, managing multiple projects simultaneously
Knowledge of acquisition, implementation, service and billing processes for accounts
Strong project management, leadership, problem‑solving, and practice development skills
Proficient computer skills with Windows-based software
Excellent negotiation, presentation, public speaking, written and verbal communication skills
Education & Experience Required
Bachelor's Degree in a related field
2–3 years of job‑related experience
Education & Experience Preferred
2 years of Client Manager, Account Executive, or equivalent experience
Experience in a service‑related area such as client services, sales support, or coordination of group enrollment processing activities
2 years of insurance, healthcare, and/or financial industry experience
Travel
Less than or equal to 10%
Principal Duties & Responsibilities
Build, enhance, and maintain effective relationships with client organizations to ensure a high level of client satisfaction, retention, and increased sales revenues and profitability
Manage and monitor the account health of assigned business blocks, identifying risks and barriers to service standards
Develop and maintain written records regarding administrative support of the account and ensure smooth post‑sale service activities
Develop working relationships with brokers, distribution, and clients, including regular personal touch points and frequent telephone contacts to monitor all service areas
Act as a subject‑matter expert to internal stakeholders, consulting on strategies to optimize client satisfaction and retention
Perform root‑cause analysis to correct situations, communicate resolutions, and monitor outcomes to ensure success
Analyze and complete reports related to account activity and review proactive account audits to identify trends and document process improvements
Partner with internal business units to address client questions or issues, ensuring consistent and timely responses
Stay abreast of industry best practices through competitive intelligence and literature, driving the overall customer experience for serviced accounts
Proactively identify new service requirements in response to account administration issues, maintain contact with accounts to ensure quality service, facilitate surveys, and provide insights to shape evolving needs
Travel to accounts as determined by the account service strategy, typically less than 10% of time, to deliver superior service experience
Perform other duties as required
Total Rewards
The salary range for this job is $65,000 - $80,000. The range is based on factors such as education, experience, licensure, certifications, geographic location, and peer compensation.
