
Social Media Specialist

What you can expect You’ll create engaging social content that drives brand awareness and community growth across Zoom’s social channels. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and execute content strategies aligned with business goals. You’ll make an impact by building authentic connections with audiences and translating social trends into measurable engagement.
About the Team We unify brand marketing, partnerships, events, social media, and paid media into one cohesive strategy. Our team collaborates cross-functionally to drive awareness, adoption, and retention across the Zoom portfolio. We focus relentlessly on outcomes and business impact throughout the customer lifecycle.
Responsibilities Managing content calendars and scheduling posts across all platforms while coordinating with team members to maintain consistent publishing frequency
Creating engaging written and visual content that aligns with brand voice using design and video editing tools
Monitoring social channels for brand mentions and emerging trends, engaging audiences in a timely and authentic manner
Tracking performance metrics and preparing monthly reports that inform content strategy and demonstrate business impact
Collaborating with marketing team members on campaigns and identifying cultural moments for content opportunities
What we’re looking for Demonstrate 0‑2 years of professional social media experience through internships, student organizations, or personal projects
Apply knowledge of major social media platforms, their best practices, and optimal posting strategies
Create visual content using design tools such as Canva, Figma, or similar platforms
Edit photo and video content using tools like Capcut or similar video editing software
Write clear, engaging copy with strong attention to detail and brand voice consistency
Use social media management tools, with Sprout Social experience preferred
Leverage AI creation tools and write effective prompts for content generation
Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or related field, OR equivalent practical experience
Salary Range or On Target Earnings Minimum: $64,300.00
Maximum: $128,600.00
In addition to the base salary and/or OTE listed Zoom has a Total Direct Compensation philosophy that takes into consideration base salary, bonus and equity value.
Note: Starting pay will be based on a number of factors and commensurate with qualifications & experience.
