My client is currently looking for a
Mechanical Superintendent
to support major commercial projects in the area. They're a reputable full service contractor that has been serving the state of Florida for 50+ years with a strong backlog for future growth. They specialize on commercial, government, education and hospitality projects. They have a strong reputation in the Florida area and have won many awards for they're work and culture!
What you will be doing:
Knowledge and understanding of mechanical codes. Knowledge of mechanical trade related tools. Knowledge of the safe use of hazardous materials, solvents, cleaners, adhesives. Ability to perform math computations needed in the trade. Ability to layout piping and equipment from prints to maintain proper clearances. Set project specific priorities, goals, and milestones. Work with other departments to accomplish tasks and resolve situations. Create and maintain a culture of accountability. Resolve conflicts with respect and professionalism. Ability to work on welded, threaded, grooved, soldered, and brazed piping systems. Coordinate piping system flushing and equipment startup.
Ability to read and interpret: Blueprints, Detail sheets, Sketches and Schematics. Ability to communicate, interact and work effectively and cooperatively with people. Always conduct themselves in a professional manner. Ability to promote and follow building, job site and department procedures and policies. Ability to understand technical instructions.
What you need for this position:
Strong Knowledge of Plumbing and Mechanical systems required. 5+ years of Mechanical Superintendent experience.
