About The Role Our Vendor Relationship Manager is responsible for building and maintaining an excellent Supply Chain for Logisnext's Service Parts business. This position builds strong relationships with our Supply Base and operational groups to ensure we operate our Parts Business efficiently, accurately, and expediently. You will work with hundreds of suppliers to drive down overall costs while improving operations by utilizing analytics and your ability to influence change with those suppliers. You will have candid discussions with suppliers about performance while developing improvement plans.

What You Will Do Supplier Management

Analyze and discuss overall supplier performance and expectations, as defined.

Identify and implement change to improve supplier performance

Ensure we are partnered with the right vendors

Cost Management

Ensure the lowest possible total cost through vendor negotiations and process improvements

Working closely with Logisnext production and service parts buyers

Analyze part, product group, and vendor performance and identify sourcing opportunities

Growth

Ensure product training and corporate interactions with suppliers are up to date and supportive of our overall growth goals.

Ensure suppliers are viable to support the continued growth of our program

Communication

Build and maintain positive, productive relationships between Logisnext and suppliers.

Actively participate in internal meetings and communications related to Suppliers and overall Supply Chain health

Where Hybrid position based in Grand Rapids, MI

Qualifications What you need to have:

Bachelor’s Degree

2-7 years’ experience

Excellent Personal Relationship Skills along with strong written and verbal communication.

Ability to influence Suppliers to drive excellence through their organizations

Ability to work in a team environment and influence change internally and externally

Attention to detail and the ability to handle difficult situations/suppliers

Ability to lead candid discussions and to develop Corrective Action Plans for struggling suppliers.

Ability to identify and drive cost-down efforts with suppliers

What Would Be Nice To Have

Proficiency in Analytics and SQL is beneficial

Experience in Parts Operations/Warehousing and a working knowledge of Supply Chains

The salary for this position ranges from $60,300 to $75,000 annually. The specific salary for a successful candidate will depend upon, among other legitimate factors, education, training, and/or experience.
