Bilingual Legal Assistant
to assist our Case Managers in providing excellent customer service to our English and Spanish speaking clients.
Responsibilities
Case File Organization: Ensure all case files are properly organized and documents are saved in the correct locations within our system.
Medical Records Management: Obtain and organize medical records and bills, ensuring that no bills or records are missing from any providers.
Insurance Follow‑Ups: Communicate with insurance adjusters to follow up on correspondence and case status.
Scheduling & Coordination: Schedule meetings with clients, adjusters, attorneys, and other key appointments.
Administrative Support: Provide comprehensive support to case managers and attorneys.
Team Player Duties: Serve as a back‑up receptionist and assist with other tasks as needed to contribute to the success of the team.
Qualifications
Fluency in both English and Spanish (spoken and written), including ability to effectively communicate with Spanish speaking clients about medical and legal terminology.
2+ years of experience in a pre‑litigation department of a personal injury law firm.
Familiarity with legal terminology and phases during pre‑litigation.
Proficiency in case management software, Filevine.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Benefits
Competitive pay rate ranging from $40,000 to $60,000 (dependent on experience) with potential for advancement.
