Bilingual Legal Assistant
to join our team and play a vital role in assisting our Firm's Case Managers in providing excellent customer service to our English and Spanish speaking clients.
Position Overview
Case File Organization: Ensuring all case files are properly organized and documents are saved in the correct locations within our system
Medical Records Management: Obtaining and organizing medical records and bills and ensuring that we are not missing bills and records from any providers.
Insurance Follow-Ups: Communicating with insurance adjusters to follow up on correspondence and case status
Scheduling & Coordination: Scheduling meetings with clients, adjusters, attorneys, and other key appointments
Administrative Support: Providing comprehensive support to case managers and attorneys
Team Player Duties: Serving as a back-up receptionist and assisting with other tasks as needed to contribute to the success of the team
Requirements
Fluency in both English and Spanish (spoken and written) is required, including the ability to effectively communicate with Spanish speaking clients regarding medical and legal terminology is a mandatory for this position.
2+ years of experience working in a pre-litigation department of a personal injury law firm
Familiarity with legal terminology and phases during pre-litigation.
Proficiency in case management software, Filevine
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Benefits
Competitive pay rate ranging from $40,000 to $60,000 (dependent on experience) with potential for advancement
