
Senior Manager- Direct to Patient Marketing

Position Summary The Senior Manager, Direct‑to‑Patient Marketing leads the design and launch of Recor’s direct‑to‑patient (DTP) operating model, owning the national patient marketing strategy and execution, and steering the launch, scaling and optimization of the DTP platform to provide patient access to the Paradise procedure. The role drives patient awareness, lead generation, qualification and connection to treatment, while ensuring tight integration with compliance and commercial teams. It requires strong cross‑functional collaboration with commercial, legal & compliance, marketing and market communications teams and prior DTP experience in the life science industry.
Responsibilities and Duties
Own national DTP strategy and roadmap, with an execution plan to scale the program across multiple markets nationally
Define patient acquisition, qualification and engagement strategies
Work in partnership with agencies to drive the paid digital media strategy
Own patient‑facing branding, messaging and creative content
Own patient microsite and physician finder
Create patient educational materials, including testimonials, digital guides and in‑practice materials
Develop patient‑centric content for various channels, including websites, social media, email campaigns and patient portals
Own the DTP technology stack
Partner with cross‑functional teams (IT, Legal & Compliance, Quality) to ensure HIPAA‑compliant data collection and storage
Deliver regular performance and analytics reporting linking media investment to business results
Manage budgets, timelines and performance KPIs
Select, onboard and manage agencies and technology partners
Serve as the primary DTP liaison across Marketing, Market Access, Commercial, Legal & Compliance, IT and Quality
Support executive updates, planning cycles and long‑range strategy discussions
Collaborate across functions to gain alignment and approval on patient‑targeted marketing materials and initiatives
Build relationships with patient advocacy groups and identify partnership/sponsorship opportunities
Conduct market research or focus groups to understand patient needs, preferences and use insights to inform the marketing plan
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or equivalent advanced degree preferred
8+ years of experience in patient‑centric marketing in life sciences or healthcare, including brand positioning, omnichannel strategy, lead generation, campaign management and digital marketing
Hands‑on experience launching and scaling DTC/DTP programs in regulated environments
Strong understanding of HIPAA, consent management and healthcare data privacy
Proven ability to manage external stakeholders, including agencies and production vendors, and complex cross‑functional initiatives
Strong analytical mindset and experience tying marketing activity to business outcomes
Excellent project management, execution, communication and presentation skills
Effective collaboration with cross‑functional teams
Enjoy interacting with patients and belief in patient engagement to further Recor’s mission
Self‑motivated, proactive and positive attitude
Strong interpersonal and problem‑solving skills
Candidate can be remote or in Bay Area but should expect to travel up to 20% of the time
Salary range:
$182,582–$198,957 (commensurate with experience, skills, education and training). The starting base pay will be determined based on job‑related skills, experience, qualifications, work location and market conditions.
