
Preconstruction Estimator - 24268

Overview
We are seeking a Preconstruction Estimator for assignment in Fort Worth, Texas. The selected candidate will primarily work with a team to prepare estimates by reviewing and comprehending scope documents.
Hours are Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm
** This position can work a Hybrid schedule **
Responsibilities
Develop capital cost estimates for projects
Review contractor proposals for various procurement types
Review and validate change orders
Interface with external clients in the presentation of capital costs
Maintain organized and detailed files, project records and logs
Attend project meetings as required
Develop project work breakdown structures
Calculate complete scope of work take-offs
Assist contracts staff with statements of work for subcontractors and vendors
Apply construction means and methods
Calculate indirect field and owner’s costs
Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED
A valid Drivers License
5 - 10+ years of estimating and construction experience related to buildings and civil works
Proficient in Sage Timberline, MII estimating software and BlueBeam (Heavy Bid is a plus)
Progressive and successful cost estimating experience in all projects phases
Alternative delivery procurement experience
Understanding of the relationship between cost, risk and schedule
Certifications such as a CEP, CCP, PMP or CCM are a plus
