About Iteach It‑each is a competency‑based educator preparation program helping to fill the void the nation faces with the unprecedented teacher shortage. It enables paraprofessionals, substitute teachers, and others seeking to become teachers to get the affordable, time‑saving education they need to become licensed. Our program combines the convenience of online learning with a full year of face‑to‑face mentorship during a teaching residency. Notably, iteach is the only non‑university educator preparation program to achieve accreditation from the Council for Accreditation of Educator Preparation (CAEP).
Location:
Hybrid or in‑office arrangement preferred; remote candidates must be located within the assigned state/region.
Onboarding & Work Arrangement:
To support onboarding and relationship‑building, new hires may be asked to spend time working in‑person (where feasible) during their first 90 days. After this initial period, the role transitions to the standard work arrangement for the position.
Travel:
This role includes up to 15% travel (~4 days/month) to the state/region assigned.
The Opportunity The Program Director at iteach, a division of K12 Coalition, manages and oversees outreach, partnership, and enrollment efforts in specific assigned states to grow the iteach program. The Program Director will split their time between cultivating relationships with school districts and partners, and supporting customer inquiries, field supervisor operations, and overall program support. This role works to establish partnerships that create pathways for new teachers to become certified and requires the ability to represent iteach confidently with district leaders and external partners.
The Program Director reports to the Senior Director, Program Strategy and Operations.
What You’ll Do Relationship Management
Establish and nurture new partnerships with districts, schools, and local education agencies in your state/region.
Manage and oversee partnership documents, agreements, and related operations, including invoicing and payments.
Serve as the primary liaison to the State Department of Education, maintaining strong, proactive relationships with DOE Certification Specialists, talent pipeline leaders, and other state personnel.
Serve as the primary point of contact for district/school personnel regarding inquiries about the program and teacher progression.
Coordinate with district/school personnel to advertise/promote job openings and teacher job fairs.
Collaborate closely with the partnership lead and state sales team to help shape and refine state‑specific sales and partnership strategies, ensuring alignment with state certification requirements and district needs.
Candidate Support
Answer program‑specific questions and serve as the subject matter expert for your state(s) certification and teaching requirements.
Support teacher candidates through the Residency timeline, ensuring successful progression.
Ensure hiring documents and teaching assignments align with state requirements for alternative and standard certification/licensure.
Complete final review of teacher files prior to submission for licensure to the Department of Education.
Program Promotion
Attend state and national conferences, workshops, and career fairs to promote iteach.
Engage potential applicants at local job fairs, including presenting and hosting vendor tables.
Field Supervision Responsibilities
Work in partnership with our Director of Field Supervision to support the strategic assignment of Field Supervisors to teachers across the state(s).
Serve as a key point of contact for candidate‑specific questions and escalations from field supervisors, ensuring alignment with state requirements and program expectations.
Data, KPIs, & Continuous Improvement
Track and analyze the full state candidate pipeline (ie, applications, enrollment, residency, certification).
Analyze monthly KPIs with the Senior Director of Program Strategy and Operations.
Lead continuous improvement initiatives specific to your state/region.
Other Duties
Support the team with additional tasks and responsibilities aligned to your strengths and as needed to help meet evolving organizational goals and objectives.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred.
8+ years of experience in K‑12 education required.
Leadership experience as a K‑12 administrator preferred.
Broad knowledge of teacher certification processes.
Demonstrated proficiency in Google Workspace (Gmail, Drive, Docs, Sheets, etc.).
Experience providing excellent customer service.
Ability to navigate challenging conversations.
Strong interpersonal communication skills.
Experience presenting to district leadership, such as HR Directors or Superintendents, with the ability to communicate program value clearly and build confidence with external partners.
Compensation Range The compensation range for this position is $80,000 - $90,000.
