
DEPUTY EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

Overview
General Description: The Deputy Executive Director serves as the organization’s second in command and works in close collaboration with the Executive Director to ensure continuity of mission, operations, and organizational relationships.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Serves as primary operational leader for daily organizational functions
Provides direct supervision and management of all staff
Maintains strategic presence in the community through regular on‑site engagement
Attends all Board of Directors meetings and serves as primary staff liaison
Ensures organizational compliance with all regulatory and funding requirements
Represents the organization to community partners, stakeholders, and media as appropriate

Requirements Qualifications
Education: Bachelor's Degree Required
Credentials: Valid NY State Driver License and access to a reliable vehicle
Experience: At least five years of leadership experience and demonstrated ability to develop and manage service programs.
Special Requirements
Must be aligned with our mission and adhere to and support the principles and values of Catholic Social Teaching (CST). Must be prepared to lead the organization in a manner that sustains and upholds our Catholic identity.
Ability to travel and conduct evening meetings.
Excellent oral and written presentation skills.
Understanding of human service delivery systems.
Hybrid position, with a minimum of 2 days in Rochester per week at: 1150 Buffalo Rd, Rochester, NY 14624
Additional Qualifications
Ability to prioritize assignments, plan, and complete work projects with minimal direction
Exceptional time management skills and ability to effectively and meet deadlines
Excellent verbal/written skills
Ability to work in the following software programs: Windows, Microsoft Office, and multiple online software platforms as required by funders, lenders, and partner organizations
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle confidential information with discretion
Ability to demonstrate behaviors and attitudes which support organizational mission, philosophy, and policies
Ability to work in a cooperative and helpful manner with all individuals
Willingness and ability to foster agency and program wide cooperation and teamwork through use of positive/constructive communication techniques
Salary $120,000 annual
