Source One is a consulting services company and we’re currently looking for the following individual to work as a consultant to our direct client, a global healthcare consumer products company in Summit, NJ.
Title: Director - Corporate Development Finance
Hybrid: 3 days onsite, 2 days remote
Target Comp: $150-$200/hr W-2 (possibly flexible)
This is a finance-heavy partner to Corporate Development, focused on evaluating deals, building financial cases, and ensuring acquisitions actually deliver value. It sits at the intersection of M&A (Corporate Development), Finance / FP&A and business strategy.
Responsibilities
You’ll build and manage complex models to evaluate acquisitions, divestitures and joint ventures
Consumer-focused financial analysis
Gross margins (very important in beauty/OTC)
Pricing and promotion strategies
Strategic business partnering
You’ll work closely with Corporate Development (deal team), Brand / commercial teams, supply chain & operations and R&D
You will translate business assumptions into financial impact and challenge assumptions when needed
Working under pressure (deal timelines)
Turn around analyses in days or hours
Update models based on new info
Support negotiations in real time
You’ll help assess financial health of target companies, risks (declining sales, margin pressure, liabilities) and accuracy of forecasts
Work with External advisors (bankers, consultants), Internal audit / finance teams
Post-deal performance tracking
After a deal closes, you’ll track whether projections were met
Monitor revenue growth, cost savings and report variances to leadership
Executive communication
You’ll prepare deal summaries, financial decks and investment recommendations, presented to senior leadership
Required
10+ years of experience
Consumer products/cosmetics industry experience
Strong financial acumen: a deep understanding of Valuation, Accounting and Forecasting, and an ability to quickly interpret complex financials
Demonstrate intellectual curiosity: Asking “Why is this brand growing?” “Are these margins sustainable?” Digging beyond numbers into consumer behavior and market trends.
Excellent collaboration with business partners inside and outside finance, working under pressure/tight timelines
Strong interpersonal skills are critical
Investment banking, corporate finance, or consulting experience
