Brand Sales Specialist – Data Platform
Responsibilities
Develop solution opportunities: identify and pursue new sales opportunities, leveraging knowledge of Data Platform solutions to meet customer needs and drive business growth.
Progress opportunities to close: collaborate with customers and internal stakeholders to move sales opportunities through the cycle, ensuring timely closure and revenue growth.
Create demand for Data Platform: develop and execute demand generation strategies to increase awareness and interest in Data Platform solutions among customers and prospects.
Build customer relationships: establish and maintain strong relationships with customers, understanding their business needs and identifying opportunities to deliver value through Data Platform solutions.
Drive sales growth: utilize industry knowledge and sales expertise to drive sales growth and expand IBM's presence in the data platform market.

Required Technical & Professional Expertise
Data Platform solutions knowledge: experience with IBM's Data Platform solutions, including Watsonx Code Assistant, Confluent Kafka, OpenPages, Business Analytics Enterprise, and Cloud Pak for Data, with ability to identify and pursue new sales opportunities.
Sales cycle management: experience managing sales cycles, progressing opportunities to close, collaborating with customers and internal stakeholders to drive revenue growth.
Demand generation strategies: experience developing and executing demand generation strategies to increase awareness and interest in Data Platform solutions.
Industry knowledge and sales expertise: experience utilizing industry knowledge and sales expertise to drive sales growth and expand presence in the data platform market.
Customer relationship building: experience establishing and maintaining strong relationships with customers, understanding their business needs, and identifying opportunities to deliver value through Data Platform solutions.
Preferred Technical & Professional Experience
Data Platform portfolio knowledge: experience with a broad range of Data Platform solutions, including Watsonx Code Assistant, Confluent/Kafka, OpenPages, Business Analytics Enterprise, and Cloud Pak for Data, to identify and pursue new sales opportunities.
Multi‑product sales expertise: experience managing sales cycles and progressing opportunities to close across multiple Data Platform products, collaborating with customers and internal stakeholders to drive revenue growth.
Industry‑specific sales strategies: experience developing and executing demand generation strategies tailored to specific industries, increasing awareness and interest in Data Platform solutions among customers and prospects.
