Position Description and Purpose:


The Director, Sales and Marketing is responsible for developing and executing sales and marketing strategies that align with the company’s objectives and drive profitable revenue growth. As a key member of the company’s leadership team this position is responsible for strengthening the company’s market position, fostering a strong customer experience, aligning with other departments, and leading initiatives that expand market share, accelerate growth, and support long-term business success across global markets. 


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Demonstrates strong LMA – leads, manages, and holds the team accountable to results and core values.
  • Develop and execute strategic sales and marketing plans to meet or exceed corporate goals for profitability and growth in market share. 
  • Build develop and maintain strategic relationships with key customer and suppliers to strengthen partnerships, uncover growth opportunities, and enhance long term value creation. 
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure strategies are aligned and customer satisfaction levels are high.
  • Lead, mentor and develop a high-performing sales and marketing team.
  • Oversee the management and strategic direction of product lines, ensuring alignment with market demands and company objectives.
  • Identify and pursue new product and market opportunities that align with the company’s capabilities and goals.
  • Create and implement efficient systems and processes to scale the sales organization and ensure seamless operation.
  • Implement plans to generate market awareness and achieve a healthy pipeline of new opportunities. 
  • Monitor and manage growth campaigns, optimizing tactics in real time to achieve the best results.
  • Conduct market analysis to understand industry trends, competitive landscape, and customer needs to inform strategic decisions.
  • Coordinate and partner with European and Asian market teams to ensure global strategy alignment and to leverage cross-regional insights, resources, and opportunities.
  • Prepare detailed reports on sales performance, market trends, and campaign effectiveness for executive review.
  • Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and professional associations to strengthen Midwest Rubber’s reputation in key industrial markets. 
  • Monitor and manage company pricing policies to optimize gross margins.
  • Oversee the preparation and management of the department’s budget to ensure resources are allocated for optimal impact. 

 

 

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

Preferred Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing or related field (or experience)
  • Experience working in an industrial B2B environment.
  • Proven track record in developing and executing successful sales and marketing strategies.
  • Strong leadership and management skills
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and intrapersonal skills with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels. 
  • Strategic mindset with an analytical approach to problem solving and decision making
  • Experience in developing systems and processes to help organizations improve scalability
