Junior Account Manager – Public Sector


GlobalSourceIT is hiring a driven, detail-oriented Account Manager to support and grow our established Public Sector business across key markets.


This is a unique opportunity to step into active, high-potential accounts while building a long-term career in sales. You will gain immediate exposure to live client relationships, RFP-driven work, and complex ERP staffing solutions, while developing the skills needed to grow into a Sales Director role


Responsibilities

  • Manage and expand existing Public Sector accounts (Higher Ed, municipalities, school districts)
  • Support and lead RFP responses, working within structured public sector procurement processes
  • Execute a mix of account management, warm outreach, and targeted new business development
  • Build relationships with IT, procurement, and business stakeholders across public institutions
  • Partner closely with recruiting teams to deliver ERP and IT staffing solutions (PeopleSoft, Campus Solutions, Banner, Workday, BI Analytics, etc.)
  • Maintain strong organization, reporting, and follow-through across all client activity
  • Travel to client sites and industry events to strengthen relationships and grow business


Qualifications

  • 1-3 years of sales experience
  • Strong interest in building a long-term career in sales
  • Highly motivated, competitive, and eager to learn
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to navigate structured processes
  • Confident communicator who can build relationships quickly
  • Team player with a positive attitude and strong internal collaboration skills
  • Clear structured path from Public Sector Account Manager to a Sales Director role
