SAP Treasury Functional Consultant (100% Remote) Location: 100% Remote (Client Address: Columbia, SC) Job ID: 10622 Employment Type: Contract (12 Months + with possibility of extension) Client: State of South Carolina - Admin Job Overview The State of South Carolina is seeking an expert SAP Treasury Functional Consultant to support the South Carolina State Treasurer’s Office (STO) in retiring legacy systems and optimizing Treasury Management and Investment modules. This project includes a critical system-wide upgrade to the S/4HANA platform. The successful consultant will be responsible for developing business requirements, configuring treasury functionality, and implementing investment or debt modules within SAP. Daily Duties & Responsibilities Functional Expertise: Provide high-level SAP functional guidance to the SCEIS Team and translate complex daily/monthly/year-end activities into actionable business requirements. Prototyping: Create and present prototypes and demonstrations to business users for both out-of-the-box and custom investment functionality. Design & Documentation: Author functional design specification documents and obtain stakeholder approval for proposed business requirements. Collaboration: Partner with ABAP, BASIS, and STO IT teams to support custom development, testing, and release management processes. Implementation Support: Coordinate technical requirements for test environments and ensure minimal issues during the transition of changes to production. Data Quality: Support reporting teams in creating universes and data structures to improve data accuracy and flow. Knowledge Transfer: Conduct extensive knowledge transfer sessions for IT and business users to ensure long-term maintenance by the STO. Basic Qualifications Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related discipline. Experience: 10+ years of experience implementing SAP. Public Sector Experience: Must have implemented SAP in at least four large organizations, with at least one being a State, Federal, or County (public sector) entity. Documentation Skills: Proven ability to develop high-quality business blueprint documents. Domain Knowledge: Strong technical and business knowledge across multiple treasury management disciplines to ensure scalable implementations for cash and debt management. Project Scope & Industry Category: Internet / Web Engineer Industry: Information Technology Environment: The State utilizes FI, MM, HR, Payroll, SRM, CRM, and Treasury Management modules.
