20-bay, fully equipped repair facility , Valtek is known for delivering high-quality workmanship, fast turnaround times, and “Value Through Technology.”
Position Summary The Auto Body Technician is responsible for performing
collision repair, structural work, and refinishing preparation
on commercial vehicles and heavy‑duty equipment. This role requires hands‑on expertise in body repair, frame alignment, and surface preparation to ensure vehicles are restored to pre‑accident condition or better.
Key Responsibilities
Perform
collision repair and bodywork
on trucks, buses, and specialty vehicles
Conduct
frame straightening and structural repairs
using heavy‑duty equipment
Repair or replace damaged panels, components, and assemblies
Prepare surfaces for painting (sanding, masking, priming)
Assist with
body modifications and refurbishing projects
Diagnose damage and collaborate on repair estimates
Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment
Ensure all repairs meet company quality and safety standards
Required Qualifications
2+ years of experience in
auto body or collision repair
(commercial vehicle experience preferred)
Strong knowledge of
frame repair, bodywork, and refinishing prep
Ability to use shop tools, welding equipment, and frame machines
Experience working with
heavy‑duty vehicles or equipment
is a plus
Valid driver’s license
Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in a fast‑paced shop environment
