Legal and Eligibility Requirements In accordance with S‑414/A‑3188, school districts, charter schools, nonpublic schools, and contracted service providers are required to review the last twenty years of employment history of prospective employees to ascertain allegations of child abuse or sexual misconduct. Employment of an individual who has served in a position that involves regular contact with students must be preceded by a review of the employee’s employment history and a request for information regarding child abuse and sexual misconduct allegations from former and current employers.
