Marketing Research Intern

You will immerse yourself in the fast growing and rapidly evolving world of radar technology. You will learn to turn data into insights and shape the marketing and product strategy for Robin Radar Systems - technology leader in radar tracking and classification of small objects.

As a Marketing Research Intern you will gather intel on consumer needs, industry trends and competitor products in the bird detection and counter-UAS (counter-drone) sector. You will learn to turn that intelligence into actionable insights to help inform marketing strategy and product development. In this role, you will work closely with both Marketing and Product Management organisations within Robin Radar Systems.

Robin is a technology leader in tracking and classification of small objects, aiming to increase the safety of people and wildlife by preventing bird strikes in aviation, reducing the environmental impact of wind farms, and protecting critical infrastructure against drones.

Responsibilities

Create the research roadmap - identify gaps in Robin Radar’s knowledge on consumer needs in its B2B environment, industry trends, and competitor products;

Lead new research initiatives - develop new and innovative research methods, employing a variety of methods: from desk research to the creation of custom surveys and onboarding of research agencies;

Turn data into actionable insights - act as advisor to the Head of Marketing, Chief Commercial Officer and Product Management leads, helping them shape marketing and product development strategy;

Shape product communications - work closely with the wider marketing team, update and maintain the spec sheets, website pages, and brochures for Robin’s flagship products (IRIS®, ELVIRA® and MAX®).

Requirements

Enrolled in an educational institution, preferably following a degree in a business, marketing or engineering related field and in your third year of study;

Interested in the power of data; capable of turning data into meaningful insights that can shape marketing and product development strategies; passion for radar technology – even if you are not an engineer, you can understand and communicate technology;

Communication skills in English: written, verbal and presentation.
