This position is expected to be available on May 1, 2026. \*
The primary purpose of this position is to provide centralized support and direction to DPI employees. This position will provide assistance daily to DPI staff in time/leave/payroll administration. This position will also assist in benefits and policy administration as needed. Work assignments will vary depending on daily and weekly HR demands, however, the person in this role will be trained to support all areas of HR with special emphasis on use of the Human Resources Information System (HRIS-FIORI) and Benefits.
Job Responsibilities:
Interpret complex time and leave issues and professionally address sensitive and/or adverse situations.
Work closely with employees, supervisors, and mangers on work schedule rules, negative quota balances, shift premium, holiday premium pay, adverse weather, GAP hours, special bonus leave and compensatory time.
Review and monitor all employee payroll records continuously and during monthly payroll.
Work with Office of State Controller’s (OSC) HR-Payroll technical support team and management to implement system changes as they occur and working with management to incorporate those changes as needed into processes and training documents.
Work closely with OSC staff to resolve system-wide time, leave, and payroll issues.
Monitor employee time/leave records to ensure the appropriate policy and procedures have been followed.
Serve as an Agency Approver/Back up in the Human Resources Information System (HRIS-FIORI) for all Personnel Administration (PA) and Organizational Management (OM) actions.
