About the role
The Product Marketing Specialist plays a critical role in telling Aegis Sortation’s story while shaping how our solutions are understood by customers, partners, and internal teams. This role bridges technical depth and creative storytelling, translating complex automation and material handling solutions into compelling, customer-focused messaging. The position supports product launches, sales enablement, ongoing market research, and content creation, while collaborating closely with sales, R&D, engineering, and Aegis leadership.
What you'll do
Develop and maintain product, solution, and service messaging that clearly communicates value, differentiation, and customer impact
Serve as a product and technology expert by maintaining deep knowledge of Aegis solutions, underlying technologies, and market trends to support accurate, effective marketing and sales enablement content
Own product launch content, including positioning, value propositions, messaging frameworks, and supporting materials
Translate complex technical concepts into clear, actionable marketing statements for customer-facing and sales enablement use
Create and manage customer testimonials, case studies, and whitepapers in collaboration with sales and customers
Support photo and video initiatives tied to product storytelling, including planning, coordination, review, and asset management
Work cross-functionally with concepting, sales, and engineering to develop detailed, customer-facing proposal documents and templates
Conduct industry, market, customer, and competitor research to inform positioning and messaging decisions
Manage and report on Voice of Customer (VOC) analytics related to product and customer insights
Support Customer Experience Center assets, facility branding, and customer visit materials as they relate to product storytelling
Support trade shows, events, and customer engagements by managing product messaging, materials, and overall marketing execution
Collaborate cross-functionally with sales, engineering, operations, and leadership to ensure alignment and clarity

Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, communications, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience
3+ years of experience in product marketing, industrial marketing, or B2B marketing
Experience working in manufacturing, automation, logistics, or adjacent industries is preferred
Demonstrated ability to translate complex, technical information into clear, customer-focused messaging
Experience supporting product launches, product positioning, or solution marketing initiatives
Strong written and verbal communication skills with attention to clarity and structure
Ability to conduct research and synthesize insights into practical marketing guidance
Comfortable working cross-functionally and managing multiple priorities simultaneously
Ability to communicate effectively across all levels, including C-suite
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
General Requirements
Ability to work in a hybrid environment, with in-office presence Monday through Wednesday in Louisville, KY
Ability to travel occasionally for customer visits, trade shows, or internal meetings (up to 10%)
Ability to sit, stand, and work at a computer for extended periods
Ability to lift and carry materials up to approximately 25 pounds, such as marketing materials or equipment for events or customer visits
Ability to work in office, manufacturing, and customer environments as needed
