
Employee Benefits Account Executive

Overview We’re representing a high-performance employee benefits consulting team seeking an experienced Account Executive to join their growing group. This strategic, client-facing role is ideal for someone with a deep understanding of employee benefits, strong technical capabilities, and a consultative mindset.
You’ll play a pivotal role in onboarding, renewals, and performance improvement initiatives while supporting clients across a broad range of benefit solutions. The firm offers rare access to niche markets and specialized knowledge, empowering you to grow and thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
What You’ll Be Doing As a senior member of the team, you’ll take full ownership of assigned accounts and deliver strategic advisory services to clients. Key responsibilities include:
Leading client onboarding and renewal cycles with precision and proactivity
Managing key client relationships with HR teams, executive leaders, and vendor partners
Conducting plan analysis, cost-containment reviews, and benchmarking
Overseeing system workflows in platforms like Employee Navigator and HubSpot
Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to ensure delivery of client goals
Identifying new opportunities for expanded service offerings
Core Functions Serve as a strategic advisor, bringing consultative insight to plan design and performance
Analyze client data to uncover trends and develop actionable strategies
Navigate complex benefits issues and drive resolution through critical thinking
Support compliance with ACA, COBRA, and other regulatory frameworks
Maintain relationships with carriers and vendors, reviewing and negotiating proposals
Prepare benefit summaries, client presentations, and recommendations
Ensure proper documentation in compliance with E&O standards
Actively participate in client and carrier meetings (virtual and occasional in-person)
What You Bring Required:
5+ years of experience in employee benefits (broker, carrier, or consultancy)
Advanced understanding of funding structures, especially self-insured plans
Hands-on expertise with Employee Navigator and benefit system implementation
Active Life, Health, and Accident license
Demonstrated ability to resolve issues through root cause analysis and problem-solving
Preferred:
Familiarity with Applied Epic, HubSpot, FormFire, Zywave, or similar platforms
Knowledge of payroll systems (e.g., ADP, Paychex)
Bilingual in English and Spanish
Project management experience or training
