To accelerate this mission, we need a visionary Principal Design System Designer who will lay the architectural bedrock that dictates how fast we move, how beautifully we build, and how deeply we impact lives for years to come. Responsibilities Architect the Company's Future: Play a critical role in defining the long-term trajectory of Twin Health's product design system, creating a strategic blueprint for the next decade of growth. Speed & Bias for Action: Drive rapid iteration and deployment, balancing high-velocity execution with long-term architectural integrity. Establish System Governance: Define and maintain clear contribution models, documentation standards, and version control processes for scalable adoption. Exceptional Execution & Craft: Uphold an uncompromising high bar for visual design, ensuring the system is beautiful, accessible, and inclusive. Drive & Measure Adoption: Partner with engineering and product leaders to champion system adoption and measure its impact on product quality, engineering velocity, and overall user experience. Bridge Design, Code, & AI: Forge new operational flows and leverage AI and Model Context Protocols (MCP) to automate translation from Figma environments to production code. Strategic Collaboration & Trade-offs: Communicate openly, collaborate deeply, and make architectural trade-offs to keep cross-functional projects moving forward. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications 8-10 years of experience as a system designer. Proven track record as a Principal Designer who has built a 0–1 design system or led a massive overhaul at scale in a top-tier, fast-paced tech environment. Outstanding portfolio demonstrating exceptional execution, visual craft, and scalable systems thinking. Experience designing scalable systems across Web desktop, native iOS, and Android, understanding unique technical constraints and interaction patterns. Deep accessibility expertise, with thorough knowledge of WCAG standards and a track record of embedding inclusive design principles from day one. Rapid prioritization & decisiveness, navigating ambiguity and making architectural trade-offs quickly. Technical fluency: deep understanding of front-end constraints, modern tooling, AI-driven design ops, and seamless handoff flows with engineering. Mission-driven leadership: leadership on complex initiatives, strengthening the team, and delivering projects with speed, humility, and impact. Compensation and Benefits The compensation range for this position is $220,000 - $230,000 annually. Benefits include: A competitive compensation package in line with leading technology companies.
