Location: DUMBO, Brooklyn (Hybrid) - 4 days in office
Salary Range: $65K-$75K

THE ROLE
VIOLETTE_FR is seeking a creative, detail-oriented, and collaborative Jr. Copywriter, Social Media & Community who will execute copy and support community engagement across social platforms. This role will work closely with the Social team and report into the Sr. Copy Director, Brand & Editorial to bring VIOLETTE_FR and Violette's respective voices to life through thoughtful storytelling across captions, stories, and real-time interactions. The ideal candidate is highly organized, curious, and proactive, possessing a strong sense of tone and desire to foster authentic connections with our community through engaging communications.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Social Copy & Content Support
Write, edit, and proofread captions, stories, comments, and short‑form content across social channels
Assist in adapting campaign copy into platform‑native social language under the guidance of senior copy and social leadership
Collaborate with the social team to ensure copy aligns with visual direction, content objective and platform best practices
Ensure clarity, accuracy, and tonal consistency, working with agency partners when relevant
Community Engagement
Help support the social media and community management team with real‑time social copy and community engagement around cultural moments, launches, and brand visibility opportunities (e.g., red carpet appearances, events, press moments, etc.)
Help foster a positive, engaged, and loyal community that reflects VIOLETTE_FR’s values and founder voice
Work closely with the Sr. Director of Copy to learn brand voice standards and best practices
Support cross‑functional teams (Social, Creative, Marketing) to ensure messaging is aligned across touchpoints
Engaged in beauty, social, and cultural trends, bringing ideas and observations to the team as new concepts arise
Participate in feedback rounds and reviews to continue developing writing and editorial skills
EXPERIENCE + SKILLS
Minimum of 2 years of copywriting experience with a strong focus on social media
Strong interest in beauty, fashion, culture, and lifestyle brands
Clear, confident writing skills with an eye for tone, nuance, and detail
Comfortable writing short‑form copy and engaging directly with a brand community—moving between founder voice and brand voice seamlessly
Organized, responsive, and able to manage multiple tasks in a fast‑paced environment
Open to feedback and eager to learn from senior leadership
Familiarity with social platforms and how brands communicate differently across each
Writing samples and/or a short writing exercise may be requested
