
Automation Specialist

Location: Bowling Green, Kentucky
Cannon Automotive Solutions, a division of Cleveland-Cliffs Tooling and Stamping, has an immediate opportunity for an Automation Specialist in our Bowling Green, Kentucky stamping facility. The Automation Specialist is responsible for overseeing and improving industrial automated processes and equipment. The ideal candidate will have prior experience working in a manufacturing facility, be self‑motivated, and thrive in a fast‑paced work environment. Summary of Responsibilities
Analyze, prepare, and communicate reports on machinery for process improvements
Maintain, debug, and troubleshoot robotic and PLC programs
Prepare technical documentation such as operating and training manuals
Proactive in process and quality improvements
Ensure compliance with all legislative safety requirements
Minimum Qualifications
Degree or diploma from an accredited post‑secondary institution. Required fields of study would include Robotic Technician, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Automation, Mechatronics, and Industrial Controls
2 years of relevant experience related to industrial automation
Ability to retain information and communicate effectively
Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
Able to work a 3‑shift model: midnight, day, afternoon, and required overtime
Preferred Qualifications
5 years of relevant experience related to industrial automation
Broad knowledge of process automation
Highly initiative and independently motivated
