Title: Sales & Events Manager Reports To: General Manager Summary: Responsible for effectively overseeing the sales and events departments, as applicable, throughout the Company. Responsibilities:
Plan, execute, and oversee sales, marketing including campaigns, and promotional activities related to the group event
Direct and coordinate sales activities as it relates to groups and events
Prepare event sales budgets and projections and approve expenditures
Track and analyze sales statistics based on key quantitative metrics
Set tier pricing and determine rate schedules
Advise distributors and dealers on policies and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
Make data-informed decisions to drive performance and resource allocation
Provide event invoices for review and approval
Identify emerging markets to find new sales opportunities
Oversee event menu development in collaboration with Culinary and Site Managers
Develop and foster positive relationships with key customers, third-party vendors, including event rental, catering, and coordination of outsourced temporary staffing
Manage logistics of vendor set-up for events
Utilize sales and marketing practices to drive client acquisition to meet goals
Assist with event coordination, including product event memos, SKU creation/audits, and alcohol and beverage movement coordination
Work closely with the marketing department to manage invitation schedules, event collateral, social campaigns, and website updates
Develop content and formatting for applicable group and event sections of the website.
Identify, evaluate, and join/subscribe to meaningful affiliations to leverage goodwill and exposure for the assigned properties
Develop and promote programs to attract high room night occupancy with a shift as it increases.
Develop a calendar for one year in advance with 52 weeks of programs/workshops, so guests are enticed to book early
Conceptualize and develop pertinent graphic design pieces for digital and print (brochures, forms, menus, in-room pieces, etc.) and oversee printing as needed. This will include a digital newsletter to previous guests and subscribers.
Conceptualize and develop videos as needed to promote the resort/park and programming.
Attend reoccurring one-on-one meetings with the supervisor/leadership team as needed.
As requested, the Sales and Events Manager will create marketing-related recaps and reports for the assigned locations. Develop highly organized resources of all event and group marketing resources such as metrics, plans, events, details, photos, and videos.
Serves clients in a friendly and courteous manner and sets a good example for visitors and fellow employees.
Represents the company in a professional manner; when customer-facing, maintains a well-groomed appearance, wearing the company uniform at all times.
Performs all other related duties as assigned.

The ability and willingness to work a flexible schedule, evenings, weekends, and holidays
Excessive standing, walking, and regularly lifting and carrying up to 45 pounds
Ability to demonstrate discretion, good judgment, tactfulness, and diplomacy
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in sales, marketing, or business management or a related field (preferred)
Minimum of 5 years of experience working in the sales or marketing field.
Annual Salary: 70-80k
