
Director of Dining Services

Webster at Rye is seeking a Director of Dining Services! We’re seeking an experienced Director of Dining Services to lead our dining employees and ensure every resident enjoys meals that are nutritious, flavorful, and thoughtfully prepared.
The Director of Dining Services is responsible for the total operation of the Dining Service Department, has demonstrated experience with cooking and beautiful demonstrations displaying creative food events, and is expected to implement established objectives, standards, policies and procedures in accordance with local, state and federal guidelines. Responsible for maintaining sound departmental relations and integrating the dining service with the facility plan of operations within the Webster at Rye community.

Job Responsibilities
Financially accountable for the Dining Service Department.
Ensures quality of food and preparation, and an enjoyable dining experience for the residents, guests, and staff.
Directs all phases of resident nutritional care program.
Directs safety, sanitation, security, and the facility maintenance programs.
Maintain good relations with residents and board members and close working relationships with the Executive Director and the various departments.
Serves on the facility’s committees and in professional organizations.
Schedules food service staff and coordinates in‑service programs for food service staff.
Recruits, hires, trains and evaluates dining personnel.
Accountable for safety/risk management in the Dining Services Department.Adheres to all Webster at Rye Policies and Procedures.
Assists the kitchen with cooking needs as applicable.
ServSafe Certification recommended, required upon hire.
Qualifications
Proven experience in food service leadership, preferably in healthcare or senior living.
A compassionate, resident‑focused mindset.
CPR/First Aid certification preferred.
3+ years of experience in progressive Dining roles.
Ability to handle numerous responsibilities at the same time.
Must have excellent communication and organizational skills.
Ability to be flexible including work schedule based on business needs.
Excellent people management skills.
Ability to be a hands‑on leader including prolonged periods standing and walking and push, pull, lift up to 50 lbs.
