Responsibilities Designs and delivers programs to train all levels of personnel. Develops tests and visual aids, conducts training classes, and develops criteria for evaluating effectiveness of training activities. Keeps abreast of training and development research: learning theory, motivation theory, and new materials, methods, and techniques. Develops in‑house programs and practices to identify developmental needs, including preparing personnel for more responsible positions and increasing effectiveness in present assignments. May evaluate and/or oversee contractors or vendors to develop and/or administer training programs. May be responsible for development of e‑learning programs.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree and 6 years of relevant exempt experience; Master’s Degree and 4 year of relevant professional experience
One of the following may be used as equivalent to Bachelor's Degree to meet minimum qualifications:
NNS Apprentice School graduate
Navy Nuclear Power School (NNPS) graduate
Associate's Degree or other formal 2‑year program and 2 years of relevant exempt experience or 4 years of relevant non‑exempt experience
Military Paygrade E‑5 or above military experience
High School/GED and 4 years combined of Manufacturing, Shipbuilding, Trades, Military experience or other relevant exempt experience
High School/GED and 8 years combined of Manufacturing, Shipbuilding, Trades, Military experience or other relevant non‑exempt experience
Nice to Have
High level of knowledge/experience in Submarine and/or Aircraft Carrier systems and mission capabilities.
Working knowledge of NNS Engineering, Technology and Design processes and tools.
Familiar with NNS business processes and organizational structure.
Experience delivering technical courses designed for various learner levels – fundamental knowledge base content and procedure guided processes.
Experience with course content development processes and tools.
Working experience within NNS ET&D is highly desirable.
Certification in General Dimensioning and Tolerancing is highly desirable.
