Southern Glazer’s offers a competitive compensation package with expected first‑year total earnings between $65,000 and $80,000 per year, including incentives and automobile allowance/reimbursement.
Overview The Business Development Manager (BDM) is responsible for managing and strategically growing SGWS’s business through influential leadership.
Primary Responsibilities
Accountable for achieving revenue, margin, and gross profit targets as set by the Sales Director.
Communicate local program spending effectiveness to maximize the company’s profits; help determine the ROI on outlined focused initiatives.
Accurately analyze and project quarterly and monthly business for assigned territory.
Provide the shared team with conflict resolution, removal of performance obstacles, and/or relationship concerns among key accounts in the region.
Identify market trends and developments in product categories, geographic regions, and among the entire account base so you remain ahead of the competition.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field, or 3‑5 years of industry‑related sales experience.
Own a dependable vehicle, valid driver’s license, proof of state registration and insurance, and an acceptable driving record.
Manage and stay within a budget that may be assigned on behalf of the company.
Possess a clear understanding of financial acumen.
Analyze available data to anticipate potential issues and act proactively.
Demonstrate strong communication, organization, and commercial‑planning capabilities.
Proficiency in business‑intelligence software such as Compass, Diver, Excel, and/or Proof.
Understand supplier strategies and align with internal and external teams.
Be at least 21 years of age.
Physical Demands
Extended periods sitting and typing/keyboarding using a computer or mobile device.
Occasional walking, bending, reaching, standing, and stooping.
Work week may often exceed 40 hours, including mornings, nights, weekends, and holidays when required.
Occasional lifting, lowering, pushing, carrying, or pulling up to 40 lbs.
