
Account Executive/Marketing Consultant

A KXAN Marketing Consultant is a strategic sales professional responsible for generating advertising revenue through Broadcast Television, OTT/Streaming, and Digital marketing solutions. As a consultant, you will actively seek new business opportunities, identify client marketing needs, develop customized advertising strategies, and oversee the execution and performance of campaigns.
You will work with local businesses while also partnering with advertising agencies, acting as a trusted advisor and delivering solutions that drive measurable results.
Key Responsibilities Prospect and develop new business through outbound outreach, networking, and in-market visits
Conduct discovery conversations to identify client objectives and marketing needs
Develop and present customized broadcast and digital advertising strategies
Launch, manage, and optimize campaigns from proposal through renewal
Maintain and grow accounts through performance insights and strategy adjustments
Increase revenue through renewals, upselling, and new campaign initiatives
Collaborate with internal strategy, creative, and research teams
Track activity, performance, and pipeline within CRM systems
Serve as a trusted marketing advisor in the local business community
Maintain knowledge of trends and best practices in digital advertising
Qualifications & Skills Strong understanding of the digital marketing landscape, including OTT/Streaming, Paid Media, and Online Advertising
Personable, confident, and able to build long-term client relationships
Self-motivated, driven, and comfortable working toward and exceeding revenue goals
Excellent communication, presentation, and problem-solving skills
Organized with strong time-management abilities
Comfortable making outbound sales calls and developing new business
Collaborative, team-oriented mindset
Hardworking and coachable with a desire to grow professionally
Education & Experience Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communications, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience in sales, marketing, or media)
Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record
Sales or marketing experience strongly preferred, but not required
