Job Description
The Associate, Editorial Operations supports the execution of daily editorial workflows for a fan‑focused digital content experience. This role works within an internal content management system (CMS) to review and publish short‑form and AI‑generated content while adhering to established brand standards and documented style and tone guidelines.
This is an operations‑focused role within a Content Merchandising & Operations team. The associate applies subject‑matter knowledge and editorial judgment, follows defined workflows, and supports approval processes and documentation to ensure content quality and brand consistency during ramp‑up and launch phases.
Key Responsibilities
CMS & Platform Operations
Operate within an internal CMS to:
Review and edit predefined content types
Validate required fields and metadata
Manage content through workflow states (draft, review, approved, published)
Ensure content is correctly structured and labeled to support:
Navigation and content discovery
Consistent presentation across the platform
Editorial Execution & Storytelling
Contribute to and follow style guides, tone guidelines, and brand standards.
Apply subject‑matter expertise to order clips or assets to tell a clear, compelling story.
Create and maintain relationships between related content.
Generate and review AI‑assisted content.
Build and maintain an editorial knowledge base, including:
Franchise or title overviews
Terminology and reference materials
Style, tone, and brand safety guidelines
Write and edit concise, high‑impact titles and descriptions.
Summarize storylines into clear, fan‑relevant phrasing aligned with brand voice.
Skills and Requirements
2–3 years of experience in editorial, digital content, or content operations
Comfort working in structured CMS environments (creating and editing content entities, validating metadata, managing workflow states)
Demonstrated experience following style guides and defined tone/voice standards
Strong short‑form copywriting and editing skills
Subject‑matter familiarity with entertainment or fan‑driven content
High attention to detail and comfort executing repeatable workflows
