Assistant Executive Steward

Primary Responsibilities (guest interaction, ordering responsibilities, clean up duties, clerical responsibilities, etc.)

Supervise and train stewarding staff

Make sure all outlets are closed down properly and ready for the next day

Ensure outlets are running smoothly

Perform daily Safety and sanitation walk through

Ensure all assigned tasks completed

Lead by example

Lead staff in performance of operating procedures and ensure performance levels are met

Secondary Responsibilities

Daily assignment of duties

Normal Working Hours: (Shift, days)

Evening/ 5-6 days a week; a few day shifts may be required

In order to be successful in this position, the ideal candidate must meet the following criteria Past Work Experience Requirements

Supervisory experience - preferred

Functional understanding of banquet stewarding responsibilities and procedures – required

Several years experience as banquet steward - preferred

Commercial food service experience – preferred

Operational understanding of ware washing operations and procedures - required

Educational Requirements

High School Diploma or G.E.D.

Computer Skills – to include making / understanding Microsoft Excel & Microsoft Word documents

Communication Skills Requirements

Able to read, write, speak and communicate English clearly

Able to give clear instructions and direct the work force. May need to communicate with guests,

Technical Requirements

WV Food Handler’s Permit (will provide)

Learn and apply the hotel and union policies
