
Specification Writer/Technical Documentation Specialist

EGS is seeking a technical resource to work with subject matter experts or specific engineering disciplines to develop project requirements documentation for simple or moderate Functional Requirements Documents (FRDs). Individual must be proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel, highly motivated, self-motivated, has general experience with facilities and equipment, can work independently using available resources, can work on multiple FRDs concurrently, and can meet FRD development schedules.

Responsibilities:
Understand technical terminology related to engineering and construction. Compile and logically organize information to be included in documents such as calculations, specifications, formal reports etc. Effective oral, analytical, written, and communication skills. Assist with the writing/revision of all types of documents, to include specifications, engineering work plans and other engineering documents. Job Requirements
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in communications, English, journalism, engineering or other field related to the position or equivalent training and experience plus a minimum of 8 years of related professional experience in an engineering, construction or operation and maintenance environment.
