Regional Business Development Coordinator (BDC) – Specialty Retail Channel
Job Summary : Buffalo Rock is an award‑winning Pepsi and Keurig Dr‑Pepper bottler founded in Birmingham, AL more than 123 years ago. The company manages the best alcoholic and non‑alcoholic beverage portfolio in the country, which includes several beloved global and regional brands. The primary function of this position is to serve as an Outside Sales Representative for Specialty Retail Fountain, Tea, Coffee, and Cold soda, negotiate with those accounts and actively manage the sales goals and objectives of his/her specific assigned accounts, and perform all responsibilities for those accounts following BRC standards. The BDC must regularly exercise independent judgment and discretion to negotiate and agree to terms based on policy guidelines, adjust disputes with customers, and handle other aspects of customer relations.
Essential Functions
Regular and timely attendance is essential; the position requires all hours necessary to ensure operations function, including nights, weekends, holidays, and may require on‑call availability.
Drive incremental sales in current accounts by focusing on new selling opportunities that increase volume and revenue for the company and the customer.
Aggressively pursue additional Large On‑Premise accounts and Micro Markets, track placements in all assigned accounts to ensure the assets meet BRC revenue standards.
Create a selling story for customers explaining how additional product will drive revenues and margins in a win/win partnership.
Ensure all marketing programs with assigned/selected accounts are implemented and maintained.
Assist with collection of any OCS/Bottle Water past‑due invoices and bad check payments.
Solicit any potential On‑Premise, Micro Market, Fountain, and Coffee accounts in or out of your assigned area; communicate any changes to an existing account to the appropriate departments.
Work with the responsible Franchise Leadership to ensure all assigned sales objectives and quotas are reached under the Mid‑Management Accountability Balanced Score Card.
Ensure Out‑of‑Date Policy is enforced in accordance with the Key Performance Indicators (KPI) criteria and is understood by the employee‑partners serving the BDC’s assigned accounts.
Work with all to ensure all general company policies are understood and followed by all employee‑partners.
Ensure that BDC’s assigned accounts receive adequate service and delivery based on Retail Operating Principles set forth.
Visit all assigned accounts quarterly and report findings to upper management to ensure customer satisfaction meets BRC standards.
Actively pursue full resolution of any need or complaint of the BDC’s assigned accounts as it relates to day‑to‑day business between the account and the Buffalo Rock Company.
Develop and maintain positive, professional customer relationships.
Know each decision‑maker at each Specialty Retail Channel account by name and keep them updated on all BRC needs.
Review sales data to perform quarterly customer reviews.
Attend and/or participate in all scheduled meetings as directed.
Work any special events or other events associated with the Buffalo Rock Company or the franchise.
Work with all assigned accounts, building brands as a priority.
Develop schools, universities, restaurants, food services, entertainment, bars, national and regional accounts, health, hotels, gaming, theaters, etc.
Adhere to customer policies for vendors, including business conduct, ethics, legal, delivery, merchandising, and security clearance requirements.
Solicit any potential new accounts in or out of your assigned area; communicate any changes to an existing account to the appropriate departments.
Have plan approved by Franchise Leadership prior to scheduling on accounts; develop a spreadsheet to organize accounts with data, success measures, and report weekly.
Communicate end‑of‑day wins experienced to Franchise Leadership; build a “win’s” board to identify successes for display in office and record wins in spreadsheet. Goal is to win something in every account that we do not currently have.
Perform all other duties as assigned.

Physical Demands

Required Education and Experience
Education: High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED). Required.
Computer Skills: Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, SharePoint, ShareFile, OneNote, OneDrive).
Experience: At least 2 years of sales and management experience. Required.
Certifications: Valid state driver license with a good driving record.

Knowledge
