Position Summary
As the Group Experiences and Marketing Manager, you will sell group tickets and execute revenue‑driving campaigns for Cross Insurance Arena. You will assist the Director of Marketing in planning and implementing marketing campaigns including social media, advertising, promotions, and community grassroots efforts. The preferred candidate is a motivated team member who can generate creative content while working with promoters to drive ticket sales and attendance.
This role pays an annual salary of $45,000 – $50,000 and is commission eligible.

About the Venue
The 6,200‑seat Cross Insurance Arena is a multi‑purpose entertainment and sports facility that hosts a wide variety of family shows, concerts, trade shows, and sporting events. Built in 1977 and renovated in 2012, it is also the home arena for the Maine Mariners of the ECHL.
Responsibilities
Work closely with the Director of Marketing in the sales and marketing efforts for events and the venue.
Lead the Group Sales department in maximizing ticket revenue through the promotion of select family shows and sporting events.
Develop content that promotes events and the venue for social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok).
Assist in the creation of promotional materials using various graphic design programs.
Maintain professional relationships and provide superior customer service.
Generate new business opportunities for the Group Sales department using call blocks, email campaigns, networking, and social selling.
Manage Salesforce CRM database and track Group Sales through reports and recaps.
Work closely with the Box Office/Ticketmaster to reserve and process Group Sales ticket orders.
Develop and execute fan experiences and food and beverage ticket packages.
Achieve or exceed assigned sales goals.
Coordinate marketing efforts between promoters, artist management, local media, and sponsors as required.
Continue the development and creation of new revenue streams to maximize ticket sales such as third‑party partnerships.
Help update the venue’s website on a regular basis.
Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Travel locally to meetings or networking events with partners and prospective clients (as necessary), and travel to company or industry conferences (1–2 events a year).
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university with major coursework in Business, Communications, Marketing, Facility/Sports Management, or another related field.
Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in sales, preferably with a venue, sports team, or other similar public assembly facility.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in marketing within an arena, sports team, convention center, hotel, or other similar public assembly facility.
Experience in Adobe Photoshop and graphic design.
Experience in content creation, including editing videos for social media.
Experience in ticketing or event planning.
Ability to work as part of a team and independently with minimal supervision.
Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
Ability to prioritize and handle multiple assignments efficiently and effectively under strict deadlines.
Ability to work nights, weekends and select holidays as required, in addition to traditional business hours.
Ability to travel as required.
