Our client, a leading organization within the insurance industry, is seeking an experienced
Change Management Consultant
to join their Business Transformation team. This is a unique opportunity to help build and scale a change management function within a large, complex enterprise while working alongside a highly collaborative and forward-thinking team.
The organization combines the agility and innovation of a smaller team with the resources and stability of a large enterprise. With a strong focus on technology-driven transformation, this role will play a key part in supporting initiatives related to digital platforms, automation, and emerging AI-enabled capabilities.
The Business Transformation team supports enterprise-wide initiatives through strategic program ownership, product management, Lean practices, and Organizational Change Management. The Change Management function is focused on enabling the business to successfully navigate change through thoughtful engagement, training, and coaching.
This role follows a hybrid schedule, with four days onsite and one remote day per week. Core onsite days are Tuesday through Thursday, with the fourth day determined based on business needs.
Key Responsibilities
Lead change management efforts for large-scale, cross-functional technology initiatives using established methodologies (e.g., Prosci)
Develop and execute tailored change strategies aligned with business goals and project objectives
Conduct impact assessments, evaluate change readiness, and identify key stakeholders
Create and implement risk mitigation and resistance management plans
Develop and deliver communication, training, and sponsorship strategies
Support communication planning, messaging, and delivery across multiple channels
Design and facilitate training programs, workshops, and change-related sessions
Provide coaching to leaders, managers, and project teams throughout the change lifecycle
Partner with cross-functional teams including communications, marketing, project management, and legal
Integrate change management activities into broader transformation and technology delivery plans
Advocate for and promote change management best practices across the organization
Support additional change management and process improvement initiatives as needed
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience required
8+ years of Organizational Change Management experience (10+ years preferred)
Proven experience leading large-scale change initiatives in complex, matrixed environments
Experience supporting technology-driven transformations strongly preferred
Prior experience in the Property & Casualty insurance industry is a plus
Strong knowledge of change management principles, methodologies, and tools
Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
Demonstrated ability to influence and build relationships across all levels of an organization
Strong problem-solving, organizational, and strategic thinking capabilities
Familiarity with project management methodologies and lifecycle
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
Willingness to travel up to 10%
