Overview A discreet opportunity has arisen for an experienced recruitment consultant to join a well‑established executive search and specialist engineering/automotive recruitment business operating across automotive engineering, Formula One, motorsport, autobus, coach and advanced manufacturing/engineering sectors.
This appointment offers a high‑level entry point into retained and exclusive executive search, working with long‑standing clients, established frameworks and a respected name within technical and engineering markets. The environment is structured, supportive and suited to a recruitment consultant seeking greater strategic involvement and long‑term development.
The successful recruitment consultant will operate across the company's warm core markets, including:
Automotive
Motorsport
Engineering and technical disciplines
Autobus and coach manufacturing
Recruitment Role Summary This is a senior 360 executive search position involving full management of client relationships, delivery of specialist retained mandates and the development of a profitable engineering/automotive desk or division. The role is well‑suited to a recruitment consultant seeking to transition into higher‑value assignments and niche markets.
Responsibilities
Managing end‑to‑end recruitment campaigns within specialist automotive and engineering sectors
Developing both new and existing client relationships, including retained and exclusive partnerships
Market mapping, talent identification and candidate engagement across senior technical appointments
Building a well‑structured practice area with strong commercial performance
Operating as a recruitment consultant with integrity, professionalism and sector expertise
Experience Required
Demonstrable experience as a recruitment consultant or fee earner (essential)
Background in any sector considered, with an interest in automotive, engineering, motorsport or related technical fields
Experience delivering temps, perms, contracts, interim, retained or contingency solutions
Ability to engage credibly with senior stakeholders and technical leadership teams
A desire to develop into a specialist consultant within a high‑growth technical practice
