Stanley Consultants, a global consulting engineering firm, is seeking a Principal Mechanical Consultant in Denver, CO (Centennial) for projects in power generation, plant design, and infrastructure. The role requires 15+ years of experience in mechanical engineering related to power generation, plant retrofits, and industrial facilities.

Responsibilities
Serve as a technical liaison with clients and coordinate technical efforts within discipline areas.
Lead mechanical design development from conceptual through detailed design, coordinating with structural, electrical, civil, and I&C disciplines.
Prepare and verify design computations for system design, equipment and pipe sizing, and service conditions.
Assist in drafting technical specifications for equipment and material.
Lead and mentor 2D/3D designers and junior engineers.
Use design and equipment sizing software to produce engineering documents.
Occasionally visit sites for observations, data collection, and documentation.
Consult with construction personnel on design constructability, field conditions, sequencing, and scheduling.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Department Manager or Project Manager.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or related ABET-accredited field.
15+ years of relevant power generation design experience.
Possess a Professional Engineer (PE) license, or ability to obtain it within 1 year.
Experience in natural gas power generation.
Preferred Qualifications
Design experience for reciprocating engine, simple cycle, combined cycle, and/or combined heat and power plants.
Familiarity with Thermoflow Suite, CAESAR II, and/or Pipe-Flo software.
