
E-Commerce Assortment & Growth Specialist

Outwater Industries, a leading distributor of architectural moldings, hardware, extrusions, plastics, lighting, and related building products with a catalog of 65,000+ SKUs, is seeking a strategic, highly motivated, detail-oriented team player with exceptional analytical skills and a proven track record in e-commerce growth. This role will encompass the expansion and optimization of our online product assortment across our proprietary DTC website (1st-party) and major third-party marketplaces (Amazon, eBay, and others). You will drive revenue growth by making data-informed adjustments to existing product lines while identifying, onboarding, and launching new product lines to fill assortment gaps and capture market opportunities. The ideal candidate has prior experience scaling online catalogs in a high-SKU environment and will report directly to the company owner in our fun, casual Carlstadt, NJ office (partial remote work available after successful onboarding).
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct in-depth market, trend, and gap analysis to identify opportunities for new product lines and SKUs that align with customer demand and competitive landscape.
Lead the end-to-end addition of new product lines: from research and selection through data preparation, syndication, launch, and post-launch performance optimization on both 1st-party (outwater.com) and 3rd-party marketplaces.
Perform regular assortment reviews; recommend and execute adjustments, enhancements, or discontinuations of existing lines to maximize sales velocity and profitability.
Collaborate closely with Purchasing, Sales, and Product teams to source and onboard new items for online channels.
Own and optimize product listings, titles, descriptions, images, and A+ content across all platforms to improve visibility, conversion rates, and search rankings.
Ensure accuracy, consistency, and rich data syndication from our central NetSuite database to all online channels.
Analyze performance metrics, sales data, and customer behavior to drive continuous improvements and informed assortment decisions.
Execute ongoing competitive analysis to inform pricing, positioning, and assortment strategies.
Monitor industry trends in architectural/building products and translate insights into actionable online growth initiatives.

Knowledge and Skills Requirements:
3+ years of E-Commerce experience with a proven track record of expanding product assortments and driving revenue growth (building products, hardware, or high-SKU distribution experience strongly preferred).
Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience with Amazon Seller Central (or equivalent 3rd-party platforms).
Demonstrated success managing both 1st-party (DTC website) and 3rd-party marketplace channels.
Advanced proficiency in Excel (including VBA automation) and Microsoft Office; experience with ERP systems (Oracle NetSuite strongly preferred).
Strong analytical skills and comfort using data to make assortment and pricing decisions.
Familiarity with N8N, Zapier, or similar automation tools is a plus.
Candidates located in Bergen County, NJ (or willing to relocate) are preferred.
