Assistant to the President/Social Media Manager

National Center for Health Research, Washington, District of Columbia, United States


This is your opportunity to get involved in communicating to the public about health issues, keep a small nonprofit running smoothly, work with healthcare and health policy experts to directly provide accurate information about a wide range of health issues to the public.

This position is 30-40 hours/week and requires a college degree and some office experience. Must be able to make at least a 9-12 month commitment and be available to work in Washington, D.C. Excellent benefits and opportunity for advancement. Starting salary: $42,000.00 to $55,000.00/year depending on experience and qualifications.

This position will start in April or May. The National Center for Health Research is a small nonprofit located in Farragut Square, just a few blocks from the White House, and this position requires being located in the DC area to work in the office at least 2 days/week. Responsibilities The position involves managing our social media as well as traditional nonprofit office work and working as a key member of our staff.

Qualifications

Outstanding written and oral communication skills (including WordPress, Canva, Publisher)

Social media experience

Excellent interpersonal skills

Be very detail-oriented

Have a good sense of humor and the desire to do work that will benefit others.
