As
Director, Global Payroll – Solstice Advanced Materials , you will lead and oversee global payroll operations, ensuring employees are paid accurately, on time, and in compliance with local regulations. You will play a key role in delivering a high-quality payroll experience while driving operational excellence across regions. In this role, you will partner closely with HR, Finance, and IT to streamline payroll processes, implement best practices, and enhance efficiency and accuracy across global payroll operations. Your attention to detail will be essential in identifying and resolving payroll discrepancies and maintaining regulatory compliance. This role requires deep knowledge of global payroll operations across multiple countries, while managing a global team of Payroll Specialists. Success in this position depends on cultural and emotional intelligence, flexibility to support multiple time zones, and a strong service-oriented mindset. As the Global Payroll Leader, you will operate with a high sense of urgency and accountability to ensure reliable and responsive payroll delivery from our Payroll vendors, as well as from the Payroll team. This role reports directly to the Vice President of Total Rewards and HR Services and is based in Morris Plains, NJ, operating on a hybrid work schedule.
Responsibilities
Lead and oversee global payroll operations, ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing for employees across 20+ countries in multiple regions. Partner with cross functional teams (HR, Finance, IT) to streamline payroll processes and implement best practices. Ensure compliance with country specific labor laws, tax regulations, and statutory requirements in all operating countries. Review, validate, and certify global payroll transactions to ensure accurate compensation, deductions, and withholdings, consolidating data from multiple internal sources in accordance with established deadlines. Serve as the primary point of contact for payroll related inquiries, delivering responsive, high quality support to employees and stakeholders. Manage relationships with global payroll vendors, ensuring accountability for timely, accurate processing and adherence to country specific requirements. Investigate payroll data discrepancies, propose corrective actions, and drive timely resolution of critical issues. Escalate significant payroll risks or issues as needed and lead corrective actions to prevent recurrence. Produce payroll reports and analyze data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for process improvement. Document and maintain interim and long term payroll processes and procedures to support system optimization and regulatory compliance. Collaborate with cross functional and cross cultural teams to provide payroll data for general ledger activities, journal entries, and business reporting. Partner with third party benefits providers to manage payroll and employee data integrations (e.g., pensions, perquisites, and statutory benefits). Support day to day integration and transformation activities, working with global teams across multiple time zones.
Qualifications
You must have 7+ years of experience in global payroll management or a similar role Bachelor's degree in a related field Proven experience leading and empowering payroll teams, driving performance through coaching and strategic prioritization while ensuring accurate, compliant payroll execution Hands-on experience managing and processing payroll using one or more payroll platforms Strong knowledge of payroll processes, regulations, and tax laws in multiple countries Attention to detail and strong analytical skills Excellent problem solving, communication and interpersonal skills

Pay Range The annual base salary range for this position is $160,000 - $200,000. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline. Solstice considers various factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate's work experience, education and training, key skills, as well as market and business considerations. This position is incentive plan eligible.
