About This Role
This role supports the university's mission by designing, developing and delivering high‑quality learning experiences for employees by applying learning theory and instructional design best practices to create engaging online, hybrid and in‑person training programs that support employee development, organizational effectiveness and institutional priorities.
Working collaboratively with subject matter experts, campus partners and stakeholders, this position ensures learning solutions are accurate, accessible, and aligned with strategic goals. The role evaluates learning outcomes and continuously improves programs to enhance effectiveness, critical thinking, and information literacy across the university community.

The division includes approximately 50 professionals delivering strategic and operational HR services to the campus community. Key functional areas include ASC‑HR, Benefits, Compensation and Organizational Effectiveness, Employee Relations and Engagement, ERP Systems, Resource Center Operations, Talent Acquisition, Talent and Organizational Development, and Time and Leave. Together, these teams partner with campus units to provide responsive HR support, enhance organizational effectiveness, and help attract, develop, and retain a talented workforce.
Worksite Description This position is
Hybrid eligible . This position is remote, but the employee must have the ability to be on campus for on‑site meetings as requested. Additional details about the remote work agreement for this role can be discussed during interviews.
All employees must reside in the United States when they begin working to comply with state law. K‑State is unable to provide remote or hybrid work opportunities for residents of the state of Idaho.
What You'll Need to Succeed Minimum Qualifications:
Requires a high school diploma (or equivalent) and five years of relevant experience. Requirements may be met through a combination of work experience and education.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in instructional design, education, human resources, organizational development or related field.
Demonstrated knowledge of instructional design principles and adult learning theory.
Experience developing and/or delivering training or instructional content in an organizational or educational setting.
Strong collaboration, communication, and facilitation skills.
Ability to evaluate learning outcomes and apply data to improve learning effectiveness.
Experience working in higher education, human resources, or organizational development environments.
Experience with learning management systems, e-learning authoring tools, and virtual facilitation platforms.
Knowledge of accessibility standards and inclusive learning practices.
