About the Role
The Company is seeking a Senior Legal Counsel to join their dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for a wide range of legal matters, with a focus on drafting, negotiating, and interpreting complex commercial contracts. This role also involves providing legal advice to the General Counsel, Deputy General Counsel, and other members of the leadership group, as well as managing outside counsel, dispute resolution, and the development and implementation of legal policies and procedures. The Senior Legal Counsel will be expected to collaborate with management on risk mitigation strategies, participate in the development of corporate policy positions, and manage intellectual property and governance matters.
Candidates for the Senior Legal Counsel position at the company should have a Bachelor’s degree and a Juris Doctorate, with a preference for Texas Bar admission. A minimum of 6-8 years' of legal experience, including both law firm and in-house, is required. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in transactional, corporate, or commercial law, M&A, or general corporate experience. Key skills include the ability to provide high-level legal guidance, cross-functional collaboration, and strategic communication. The role also requires the ability to travel up to 10% and a commitment to the company's values of inclusivity and respect.
