Job Description
As the Sr. Director, Learning & Development at Honeywell Aerospace, you will lead enterprise‑wide learning and leadership development initiatives as the business prepares to operate as a standalone, publicly traded company. This role is accountable for establishing and scaling a global Learning & Development organization that balances strong enterprise governance with regional flexibility.
Reporting to the Vice President, Global Talent, you will set the enterprise learning vision and strategy for a global workforce of approximately 35,000 employees. You will evolve Learning & Development from a service provider into a strategic capability partner focused on enterprise capability building, leadership effectiveness, and long‑term workforce readiness. While not responsible for all learning initiatives in a decentralized environment, this role will drive coherence through strategy, governance, and influence across the learning ecosystem.
This role requires a transformational leader with extensive enterprise leadership experience, deep expertise in adult learning and instructional design, and the ability to translate business strategy into scalable, technology‑enabled learning solutions across geographies and cultures.

Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and implement scalable enterprise learning, leadership development programs for all employee levels, using modern methodologies and digital modalities (ILT, VILT, eLearning, immersive learning).
Define and lead global learning governance, operating models, and standards while enabling regional flexibility to address local cultural, legal, and business requirements.
Establish strategic learning and success metrics that move beyond activity‑based reporting to measurable capability, performance, and business impact.
Provide strategic and operational ownership of the learning technology ecosystem, including HCM Learning and the Learning Management System (LMS), ensuring content quality, scalability, localization, accessibility, and strong learner experience.
In partnership with regional HR partners, conduct enterprise and regional learning needs and skills gap analyses to align learning priorities with annual and long‑term business objectives.
Oversee transformational learning, driving disciplined execution, process improvement, technology adoption, and change management for global learning initiatives.
Develop enterprise playbooks, learning architectures, and scalable reference guides to ensure quality, consistency, and repeatability across learning solutions.
Evaluate learning effectiveness through analytics, feedback loops, and ROI measures; continuously improve learning strategies and curricula based on data.
Build, lead, and develop high‑performing global learning teams, including instructional designers, learning experience designers, and analytics specialists in a matrixed and decentralized environment.
Stay current on industry trends, emerging technologies (including AI‑enabled learning), and best practices to continuously evolve Honeywell Aerospace’s learning ecosystem.
Qualifications
10+ years of experience in Learning & Development or Talent‑related roles, with significant enterprise‑scale and executive‑level program leadership.
Demonstrated success designing and delivering large‑scale global learning programs, including change and transformation initiatives impacting 5,000+ participants.
Strong expertise in adult learning principles, instructional design methodologies (including ADDIE), and modern learning experience design.
Experience leading and scaling digital learning platforms, learning management systems, and learning technologies.
Executive presence with the ability to influence senior leaders and operate effectively in complex, matrixed organizations.
Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills.
Analytical, process‑oriented mindset with the ability to manage multiple priorities and drive enterprise‑scale transformation.
