Immediate opening for a Senior Digital Design Engineer. This position advances cutting‑edge technology that supports national defense and intelligence services and systems.

Responsibilities

Exercise creative thinking to advance business performance.

Deliver innovative, flexible, integrated solutions to meet changing customer needs.

Support and engage in programs, projects and practices aligned with GDMS culture and strategy, and comply with all policies and procedures.

Follow industry and departmental trends to ensure GDMS services are consistent with or superior to best practices.

Provide technical leadership and direction to lower‑level designers.

Design, develop, and test advanced digital hardware systems and electronic equipment.

Create multi‑layer PCB designs with controlled impedance and advanced fabrication techniques.

Perform signal integrity analysis, including crosstalk and performance testing.

Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to deliver integrated, high‑performance solutions.

Mentor junior engineers.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related STEM field.

8+ years of experience in digital hardware design or 6+ years with a Master’s degree.

3+ years of experience with schematic capture and multi‑layer PCB design.

3+ years of experience with microprocessors, microcontrollers, FPGAs, or SoCs.

Experience with schematic capture and advanced PCB design techniques.

Experience with Mentor design tools.

Background in high‑reliability or space‑based systems.

Experience with worst‑case and stress analysis.

Ability to analyze and test for signal integrity, crosstalk, etc.

Familiarity with several families of microprocessors, microcontrollers, FPGAs and system‑on‑chips.

Demonstrates initiative and strong independent judgment.

Technical leadership and mentoring experience with less senior engineers.

Required Background & Clearances

Background check and drug screen required upon offer of employment.

Verification of identity and eligibility to work in the United States required upon hire.

Active Top Secret Clearance.
