IT Cybersecurity Analyst

Miami-Dade County is seeking an Information Security Analyst to join the Enterprise Security Office. This position is an excellent entry point for individuals looking to build a career in cybersecurity and AI while contributing to the protection of critical public services.
In this role, you will work alongside experienced professionals, gain hands‑on exposure to modern security tools, and support key initiatives related to vulnerability management, threat awareness, and AI‑enabled security operations across a large enterprise environment.
The primary objective of this role is to assist in identifying risk, supporting remediation efforts, and strengthening the County s cybersecurity posture across infrastructure, applications, and core services.
Job Responsibilities
Supporting vulnerability scanning, triage, prioritization, and tracking of remediation efforts.
Assisting in the assessment of vulnerabilities and recommending actions based on business risk and operational impact.
Collaborating with technical teams and stakeholders to support remediation through resolution.
Maintaining procedures, documentation, metrics, and reporting related to vulnerability management activities.
Researching emerging vulnerabilities, exploits, and threat trends impacting County systems.
Supporting blue team activities, including threat detection, monitoring, and defensive improvements.
Assisting with security automation and AI‑enabled capabilities to improve operational efficiency and visibility.
Performing other cybersecurity‑related duties as assigned.
