
Marketing Activation Specialist, Midwest

Position Overview
We are seeking a Regional Marketing Activation Specialist for our Corporate Midwest Clubs (Chicago/Chain O’Lakes/Wisconsin and Toronto). In this role you will collaborate closely with the regional brand leadership team to implement key marketing strategies, support the accelerated growth of Freedom Boat Club of Chicago, Wisconsin, Chain O’Lakes, and Greater Toronto, and lead the activation of promotions, events, and marketing initiatives across clubs in your area.
Essential Functions
Promotion Activation & Content Creation: Develop, launch, present, and manage monthly regional promotions across email, text, and miscellaneous campaigns.
Local Marketing & Sales Support: Serve as the subject matter expert for local marketing activations, guide the sales team, and create/ distribute sales promotion materials.
Event Planning, Execution & Coordination: Lead planning, coordination, and execution of local events of varying scale (e.g., boat shows, sales events, member appreciation events); attend most events.
Event Tracking & Performance: Monitor and evaluate event performance, maintain a calendar of opportunities, and provide insights and recommendations based on data.
Stakeholder & Brand Communications: Prepare and present activation‑related communications, develop playbooks, lead regional team meetings, and support strategic planning initiatives.
Social Media Management: Develop content for the regional social media pages.
Email Campaigns: Support creation and distribution of club and member communications, event invites, promotions, and newsletters.
Marketing Collateral & Compliance: Assist in the development of marketing materials and ensure alignment with brand guidelines.
Invoice Management: Review, approve, and track marketing invoices within your region.
Ad‑hoc Marketing Support: Provide support for additional marketing initiatives and propose innovative ideas.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or Business, or relevant experience.
2‑4 years of relevant marketing experience.
Strong writing, storytelling, and editing capabilities.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Customer‑focused mindset.
Ability to work cross‑functionally.
Experience coordinating events and multiple stakeholders.
Requires schedule flexibility, including evenings and weekends year‑round, with frequent travel to in‑market clubs and a greater commitment during peak season.
Hands‑on and able to work in a dynamic, entrepreneurial, deadline‑driven environment.
Ability to manage multiple projects at once, handle last‑minute requests, and deliver quick turn‑around with a positive attitude.
Preferred Qualifications
Growth mindset and desire to grow within the organization.
Experience bringing products to market for industry‑leading brands.
Proven experience planning and executing events from concept to completion.
Experience in both agency and corporate environments is a plus.
Experience working in a matrix environment is a plus.
Working Conditions
Remote position requiring use of computer, phone, and other electronic applications.
Occasional work outdoors and in varying weather conditions during events.
Work near and on the water during events.
Willingness to travel, up to 40% of the time.
Must have reliable transportation for commuting to events and domestic/international travel, including Canada.
Compensation and Benefits The anticipated pay range for this position is $58,700 – $81,500 annually, with base pay depending on qualifications and business needs. This role is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus and participates in Brunswick’s comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, paid vacation, 401(k) (up to 4% match), Health Savings Account (with company contribution), well‑being program, and product purchase discounts.
