
Instructional Designer

The Instructional Designer prepares course design in support of developing productive learning environments for the organization's various employees. Working independently under general supervision, this job develops and delivers web-based and in-person professional development programs, and provides effective uses of technology in all modes of instruction. This job also keeps abreast of best practices and current trends in instructional design and makes recommendations for improvements and enhancements.
Key Responsibilities and Duties
Applies creative methods of content delivery in the online, web-based, and in-person environments using appropriate technologies.
Develops engaging learning activities and course materials that improve retention and transfer of knowledge.
Designs and revises both new and established exercises and activities to enhance the learning process.
Develops and designs courses, curriculum, and supporting materials and programs for learning initiatives.
Evaluates and refines existing training and development programs to improve learning effectiveness and efficiency.
Implements feedback from course evaluation and program reviews to the current learning models.
Provides instructional design support to employees in various business units.
Educational Requirements
University (Degree) Preferred

2+ Years Required; 3+ Years Preferred

Career Level and Qualifications
Foundational knowledge of Instructional Design principles and adult learning theory.
Experience in customized, thoughtful, creative Learning Experiences beyond basic eLearning.
Contributes to the goals of the team including daring to design differently, collaborating to strengthen ideas, and focusing on the learner experience and performance outcomes.
Embraces a spirit of continuous learning, proactively growing self and the team.
Experience with eLearning development tools such as Storyline, Captivate, or Evolve.
Ability to effectively present complex technical and soft‑skill concepts through design and visuals.
Apply visual design principles to ensure a sophisticated design that draws the learner in and enhances the learning experience.
Experience with AI within Learning tools.
Architect of learning that considers AI within the lines of business.

Base Pay Range: $68,600/yr - $89,100/yr
