Role Description The Director of Tennis at Montammy Golf Club will lead and manage all tennis-related activities, ensuring an exceptional member experience. Responsibilities include overseeing the tennis program, coaching players of all skill levels, organizing lessons, clinics, and tournaments, and managing the operations of the tennis facilities. This full-time, on-site role located in Alpine, NJ, also includes staff supervision, scheduling, member engagement, and ensuring the overall quality and maintenance of the tennis courts and equipment. The Director of Tennis will report directly to the General Manager and work closely with the club's leadership team to align with member needs and maintain the club’s reputation for excellence.

Qualifications

Extensive knowledge and experience in tennis coaching, program development, and tournament operations

Ability to manage and maintain tennis facilities, equipment, and a high standard of court conditions

Strong leadership abilities to effectively supervise and manage a team of tennis professionals and support staff

Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to engage with club members, enhance relationships, and ensure a welcoming environment

Proven organizational and administrative skills, including managing schedules, budgets, and event planning

Certification with a recognized tennis governing body (e.g., USPTA or PTR) and significant teaching experience is required

A demonstrated commitment to exceptional service and a passion for promoting the sport of tennis

Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed to support club events
